Ouch, looks like some scoring on the brake rotors too (unless that’s some sort of purposeful pattern).
You have to keep control of those arms (that was terrible, don’t encourage me, I’ll see myself out).

I think that’s just another style of slotted rotor.

Only thing I can think of is that design would be non p-directional, but that’s not much of an advantage. Since you don’t rotate rotors, or replace just one side at a time.

Probably just to look cool. I’ve heard debates on the merits and detriments of slots, etc on rotors. Doesn’t seem to be much of a consensus.
